Summary of today's key events in the crypto industry

NYSE has partnered with Blockchain.com to develop a U.S.-style token

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Blockchain.com have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that could bring U.S. stocks and funds to ETF in token form through the digital trading platform at NYSE, which plans to launch

Under the proposed partnership, Blockchain.com will be a distribution channel for stocks and bonds traded on NYSE's digital options trading system subject to prior regulatory approval. Both companies also plan to exchange market data. ICE Data Services will disclose crypto information of Blockchain.com while Blockchain.com would incorporate some information from ICE and NYSE

The NYSE's entry into the token era occurred at a time when major securities markets, both crypto and traditional currencies, were expanding their business to tokenized stocks such as Kraken , Nasdaq, Binance , Coinbase and Robinhood that each developed different ownership rights models and acquired distinct shares.

The market is growing rapidly. Data from RWA .xyz indicates that the value of bonds traded in the market reached $3.14 billion on Wednesday, up more than 18% over a month ago.

Raiffeisen has opened a crypto trading service through Bitpanda, covering 11 European markets

Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), an Austrian banking group with a network covering Central and Eastern Europe, is expanding its investment in crypto through a group-wide partnership with Bitpanda.

According to a joint announcement on Wednesday, Bitpanda Enterprise will be the digital asset infrastructure provider for RBI-owned banks leading the launch of crypto services that could reach around 18 million customers. Each bank will define its own service model and release schedule based on market factors and regulatory requirements in each country.

RBI CEO Michael Höllerer said the bank sees a growing demand for crypto assets in many markets and is addressing this challenge together with Bitpanda. "As a customer-centric bank, we are committed to meeting our customers' needs best", he said.

Bitpanda's spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the launch is still in its early stages and will proceed step-by-step according to market conditions and regulatory requirements of each country, with further details being released as individual markets are confirmed.

CFTC issued a warning about the risk in "mention" contracts of market making predictions

The U.S.'s top securities regulatory agency has warned that market prediction contracts associated with the words or behavior of individuals are at high risk for market manipulation, issuing a warning to various stock exchanges amid increased transparency oversight of markets.

The Market Oversight Division of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) stated on Tuesday that it has sent a guidance to agencies under its oversight, stating that there are only "limited cases" in which "mention markets" contract events involving individuals will be able to participate or appear in transactions with other persons can be registered in accordance with the Commodities Exchange Act

"This type of contract carries a high risk for market manipulation because the form of the contract depends on the specific behaviour of an individual, which may not be independently generated or externally auditable", said the agency.

The warning comes after a series of cases involving traders accused of taking advantage of insider information on the prediction market, including a former White House controller who was ordered last month to recover $107,539 in profits and pay $65,000 in fines from contracts related to President Donald Trump's speeches.
