Manual in the pocket Ethereum : Understand security patterns and basics

What is Ethereum ?
The Ethereum address is a public identifier used for sending and receiving ETH and various tokens on the network.
A standard address is 42 characters long, starting with 0x followed by another 40 hexadecimal digits such as 0x + the set of numbers and letters af.
Where the address came from, and what's off-limits?
The addresses are generated by a three-tiered top-down algorithm: - private key → public key → address The private key private key is a secret code that can never be revealed, because whoever holds it controls all the money in there.
Why is wallet saying "wrong address"?
A lot of wallet acceptance formats, like EIP-55, use a combination of upper and lower case characters to encrypt the checksum in an address. The result is that if you type even one incorrectly, this system often reports the wrong address immediately instead of letting money be silently misplaced.
What kind of phony career do you have?
The whole point is to trade on the blockchain. There's no going back. Once verified, making address spoofing a common risk, the recorded patterns are:
- Address poisoning Skeptics send small amounts of tokens from similar-looking addresses into a victim's business history, hoping that the victim will later copy the wrong one.
- Malware has hijacked the clipboard. The program that changed the address just copied it automatically to a dead man's address.
How should we act?
- Check the capital letters of addresses, both initials and suffixes before each confirmation.
- The big bunch are testing sending a small number ahead of time to confirm that the address is correct.
- For high-value assets, hardware wallet should be used to keep private key offline.
