Elliptic aims to let every cop read crypto wallets in seconds with AI

What's the pulse?

UK-based blockchain analytics company Elliptic launched an AI product called Pulse on Wednesday that allows police officers to search for cryptocurrencies they encounter without any knowledge of the blockchain.

How to use it is very simple: the agent simply enters information that looks like a digital wallet address ( wallet address ) or transaction hash The system will summarize financial results in plain language given within few seconds

Why do ordinary cops have to use tools like this?

The reason is that cryptography can be found in almost any type of criminal case, whether it's searching a suspect's phone or the identity card of a fraud victim. During an arrest and incident, excessive use of ellipticals helps police officers decide instantly if they should pursue their investigation further.

Jackson Hall, Elliptic's chief technology officer (CTO), said: "We built Pulse because we see crypto in all law enforcement agencies now, not just specific units".

If we have to investigate, how are the systems connected?

When a case requires an in-depth investigation, the officer presses a single button to send full analysis including logical analysis and recording of work related to the case number into Elliptic's legal filtering tool or internal workflow tracker immediately. The idea is that investigators who investigate further do not need to be blockchain experts as well.

The company stated that Pulse works on the same database as its detective-level platform, which filters more than 99% of all crypto transactions and supports blockchains over 65 networks.

Will you judge instead?

Elliptic emphasized that the company is launching Pulse in conjunction with a product framework for an AI-powered agent ( agentic AI ) released this month, which adheres to principles of human oversight, model transparency and that officials retain the right to make final decisions rather than letting AI dictate their own.

What is Elliptic's position in the industry?

The unveiling comes at a time when the company is having an elliptical move, raising $120 million in funding earlier this year from backers such as Nasdaq and Deutsche Bank. In addition, the company's research has also been used to prosecute several high-profile cases: the freezing of cryptocurrency by the Secret Service linked to its dark market on Telegram; the seizure of multibillion-dollar crypto infrastructure by the US Department of Justice (DOJ); and the discovery that Iran's central bank had purchased USDT.
