StarkWare released a quantum shielding solution last option of Bitcoin dropped deep 79%

The estimated processing capital for preparing the Bitcoin quantum-resistant businesses has dropped to below $67 after a week of efficiency upgrades, down from about $320 spent on similar online businesses for the first time in August according to data from StarkWare.

This result came about after participants in the Quantum-Safe Bitcoin Optimization Challenge discovered a way to reduce the processing time needed to build a quantum-safe business.

Such a decrease may make the test-based defense measure (which does not require modifying network logic) against future quantum attacks more effective for Bitcoin holders. However, this update has only been demonstrated in benchmark testing.

"Structures that cost several hundred dollars per business are displayed, but at the $67 level is close to what holders with a large amount of publicly available inventory can use in an emergency", StarkWare noted in its September 23rd update. The dashboard now displays a reduced estimated price of $66.

Quantum-Safe Bitcoin is the solution.

A StarkWare researcher named Avihu Levy unveiled the Quantum-Safe Bitcoin (QSB) design in April, detailing how to add protection against quantum attacks without having to modify the default rules of Bitcoin . At that time he described it as "the measure of last resort" due to cost, complexity and limited usability while still supporting changes at a protocol level.

According to data from StarkWare, the QSB business was first excavated and confirmed on August 26 with engineering work by Tomer Giladi and direct delivery via MARA's Slipstream service. The preparation of this business required processing power of approximately 3,100 GPU -hours over GPU roughly 100 computers at a cost of about $320 excluding network fees.

To find ways to reduce costs StarkWare, Yukon Research and EIGEN Labs launched the QSB Challenge on September 16, inviting developers, researchers and AI agents to help make business-building software faster and more efficient

In its latest update, StarkWare states that such problems create a recognized 62% improvement in the two types of manufacturing work required for QSB business readiness. According to Starkware data, this result helps cut manufacturing costs by an estimated 79%, based on benchmark testing

This development came amid growing concern that a quantum computer with enough power could break the digital signature of an Bitcoin -square arc, which would allow attackers to steal coins whose public keys were exposed.

Researchers are developing quantum-resistant defenses including QSB, however StarkWare states that it still believes the Softfork, which is a modified version of the Bitcoin rule, remains "the best long-range solution" for quantum defense in wide bands over Bitcoin
