Because the DeFi platform operates via a programmable open-source code instead of a centralized unified customer service system, it can provide services with fewer geographical constraints. However, this model comes with specific risks such as defects in virtual contracts, instability of collateral assets and lack of intermediaries to help repair failed transactions or recover stolen funds.
