What's going on?
Solana Foundation announces the appointment of Rachel Conlan, former executive director of Binance , as its new Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), where she will oversee all strategic aspects including partnerships with financial institutions, growth in ecosystems and attracting various companies to implement blockchain.
Conlan spent 3 years working at Binance where his last position was Global Chief Marketing Officer before retiring from this crypto exchange site in June.
Are there other jobs too?
The Solana Foundation is also open to Jamal Raees from Polygon Labs (組織พัฒนาเครือข่าย Polygon / POL ) who holds the position of General Manager for Payment Services. Previously, he worked at Bitcoin Bridge Infrastructure Company (which has since been acquired by Stripe) and Wyre Cryptocurrency Payments Company.
Raees' mission is to encourage payment companies and other businesses to use Solana to transfer money between each other.
Why is this recruitment so important?
Both events occurred during the period that Solana was rapidly moving away from traditional currency companies and positioning its network to be more than just a crypto trading tool.
The main common denominator in the introduction is stablecoin payments, tokenized funds and tokenizing bonds. As many financial institutions are experimenting with moving assets and settling accounts on public blockchains, having experienced executives directly from Binance and from payment environments such as Polygon , Bridge and Wyre has been a strengthening force in this area directly.
How to contact the general public
For users who hold SOL or use services on Solana , this news is not an immediate change, but indicates a medium-term direction that the network will be based on creating more institutional financial use cases, whether it's stablecoins for payments or tokenized assets, which may affect future service readiness on the network.
