Lido has put the cage assembly at the center of discussions about returns on products traded in a stock market of Ethereum .

Lido pointed out that Ethereum products registered in Europe may yield returns fromNewsBTC incomplete cash reserves[9] of[10]
Key facts
Lido released a document for the Institute on 23 October comparing products registered to trade in Europe, and pointed out that the product's cash management options have an effect on the number of returns from stakes seen by investors. The document stated that holding the productETH as collateral without taking it all into the stake could generate returns on the amount20 ETH which is less than the value100 ETH held by the investor.ETH Lido also promotes qualified stocks as one option and highlights WisdomTree's 882000-backed securities product, stating that Lido has business advantages in this comparison.20 ETH
The cash reserve changes the basis for calculating returns.
The calculation is structurally uncomplicated, even without ranking the funds. An example that Lido uses as a hypothesis: one product holdsETH 100 units if it does not.ETH 20 Units are held in reserve cash with no stack; the remaining 80 units will be based on generating returns from the stake if the part of the stack yields.3% On an annual basis, the result would beETH 2.4 units before subtracting raw materials and other adjustments.
Spare cash is not always free money.
Cash reserves may have a practical function, such as filling in for withdrawal orders or other time-consuming processes. If there is no cash reserve, the product might be sold at an inconvenient moment; therefore, the useful question is not to determine whether cash reserves are wasted but rather what operational benefit they provide and how much profit the product must lose in order to gain those benefits.
Withdrawing from the ethereum network has its own queue.
Ethereum's withdrawal documentation explains that the process of verified withdrawals must go through a network stage, and demand volume may be affected over time. The fact that funds have to meet trade deadlines does not speed up the system queue so investors can see stack returns figures on the page of the document, but accessETH where the actual stake might wait according to the network mechanism.
Conditional stacking turns one constraint into another market.
Holding stETH or a transferable proof that refersETH to the stack opens up for sale without waiting for an inspector to remove all of it from the network, but selling requires a buyer who accepts the price. The transfer does not guarantee that large purchases will occur at the fund's book value. During normal market hours, the market maker may help narrow the gap; however, when markets are tight, the amount of liquidity available and the cost of taking orders become more important.
The property name doesn't tell the whole structure.
This issue is similar to the case of bitcoin products that use price or option risk hedging tools, as the name of the original asset cannot fully describe all the returns an investor will actually receive. Looking at just the wordETH or bitcoin is therefore insufficient for understanding the mechanism of payout.
Depreciation of units is not the same thing as initial asset depreciation.
The CoinShares fund settlement case is an example that redemption rules should be reviewed before the deadline arrives, because buying and selling units with initial asset disposals are separate operations. A report by NewsBTC on a corporate-level Ethereum stake adds another layer of perspective: company shareholders who go to the stakeETH do not hold only the top coins in the stack but also own companies whose financial and management issues stand out.
Something to read before you compare the returns.
The Lido document is therefore useful as a reminder to look at all the structures together: supply,[23] distribution of fair returns, arrangement of gaps and market depth before the stack return numbers appearing in double-headed brackets can have any meaningful comparison. If these components are different, then the return figures on the front page may also reflect differing volatility, withdrawal risk or turnover costs.
