Solana started using Alpenglow on the development network, confirming business in 0.1 seconds.
#Alpenglow#Solana, what are you doing#Devnet, where are you#The finality#I know

What's this about?
Solana's Alpenglow algorithm has been deployed on the development network, after starting testing on previous test networks. The main objective of this upgrade is to reduce the time it takes to confirm a final transaction or state where transactions are considered complete and have less risk of reversal from about 12.8 seconds to only 3 0.15 seconds, which if achieved would allow users and applications on the network to know the status of the business much faster.
According to sources, Anza switched from the original system called TowerBFT to Alpenglow on a test network on 24th and made the changeover on its development network on 25th. The launch date for mainnet or real networks has not yet been set so this news is an advance in the testing and preparation process rather than an announcement that the actual network has changed systems.
How is Alpenglow different?
In a token system, validators have to agree on which transactions are authenticated and how they should be ranked. In the original system, votes of verifiers were often recorded in transactional form on blockchains, requiring the network to handle those voting transactions and additional information.
Alpenglow reduces the recording of auditors' votes in transactional form on a blockchain and switches to Votor, where the results are transmitted directly between auditors. Once enough votes have been collected and there is amnesty, the system can conclude transactions faster. This principle does not only change speed but also changes how auditors communicate and collect information at the end.
Why is this important to users and developers?
For the average user, a shorter end-to-end transaction means reduced latency, especially for tasks that require speed such as payments, transactions, using decentralized finance or gaming on blockchains. If the transaction receives final confirmation in key 0.1 0.15 seconds, the experience is closer to real time.
For developers and the protocols on Solana, this change affects system design as well because many applications have to wait for approval before proceeding with their next steps. If end-to-end business conditions are faster, developers can adapt architecture to take advantage of shorter timeframes such as processing large orders, data synthesis or incident response in a smart contract.
However, actual impact assessments must wait to be launched on the mainnet because test and development networks may have different behaviors of controllers, number of transactions and conditions for receiving data than real networks.
What should Thai users and local platforms be aware of?
Users in Thailand who followSOL and use platforms such as Bitkub may see prices displayed in Thai Baht (THB) currency, and need to distinguish between network upgrades and trading on the exchange board. Even if Solana's metadata system changes, users can still trade or hold assets through their own accounts under the terms of the platform.
What should be tracked is the announcement from a Thai platform or regulatory authority such as the G.L.T. office. In case of major network updates, the platform may notify about back-end systems, deployment cancellations or early acceptance of new versions, so users should check pre-operational announcements with digital assets related to the updated network.
The limitations of this news and what to expect.
Since a launch date on the mainnet has not yet been set, users should not assume that speeds 0.10.15 seconds will occur instantaneously or be stable in all market conditions and all types of transactions. This objective is based on data from testing on development networks and test networks while actual performance must be viewed from post-launch data on the menet.
Also, my technical changes should not be interpreted as signaling the price or value ofSOL directly because this news focuses on network upgrades and reduced voting procedures for regulators rather than financial announcements or market policy adjustments.
