The four-minute repayment plan of ETH could reduce the cost of crypto.

Reducing the final verification time from 16 minutes to four helped Circle CRCL save money.$85.20That serves USDC people and makes a million dollars an hour.
A study by the Ethereum Foundation estimated that pending money is a real cost to providers of prepaid services, and shortening the final confirmation time from 16 minutes to 4 minutes allows companies to recover funds more quickly. In practice, a service that regularly charges $1 million per hour will have an expected chargeback of about $267,000 when waiting for 16 minutes, but at four minutes it would be reduced to around $890,0002.

In addition, Circle sets a ceiling on the total value of Fast Transactions pending final confirmation, and each completed transaction opens up space for new listings.
The trajectory of 16 minutes.
The 16 minutes resulted from the way that Ethereum reviewers voted, with each reviewer voting once to do two things simultaneously: help select the next block and permanently validate an old one. Reviewers would then vote back-to-back, and a block would become final after completing all two rounds of voting. Since both pages shared scores, confirmation was not as fast as rotating the score.
Proposals separate scores and user effects.
Proposals to separate each function into its own scores, allowing blockchains to run on a faster clock and developers to be able to further shorten it for users and stablecoin issuers; reducing the time of last-minute verification could reduce pending monetary costs and enable speedy business ceilings to be reissued more quickly but still require looking at Circle's 0.01% fee and value ceiling provisions that are still enforceable.
It's a warning.
